It was revealed that the pro-Jeongyojo superintendents of Chonbuk, Gangwon, Gwangju and Sejong  co-produced the textbooks that lacked  “Liberal Democracy” and “the Republic of Korea is the only legitimate government on the Korean Peninsula,” and distributed to Middle School (8th grade) and High School (9th grade) last July…

…North Korea’s military provocation, such as ‘attacking and sinking Cheonan’ and North Korean human rights issues were absent, and they did not describe at all about the sacrifice of the the UN Sending States, including the U.S., during the Korean War. In the Middle School textbooks, the Korean War as an “invasion of South Korea” was also absent.   Instead, they devoted a considerable amount of space criticizing the previous administration and the one before that, describing only negatively of the U.S. beef imports, the four major rivers project, and Choi Soon-sil’s monopoly of state incident.
