Chinese Ambassador to Korea and Chief Prosecutor Yoon Seok-youl Discuss Cooperation in ‘Law Enforcement’

Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol (윤석열) discussed exchanges in the field of law enforcement with Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Xing Hai Ming.

According to the legal community on September 29, 2020, Yoon met with Ambassador Xing on September 25 and expressed the opinion that “I hope strengthening exchanges, cooperation, and links with China in the law enforcement sector can help develop and deepen the strategic partnership between South Korea and China.”

In particular, Prosecutor General Yoon also congratulated the 71st anniversary of the founding of “new China” (communist China) citing the recent economic development of China.  Ambassador Xing replied, “We will strengthen cooperation in the field of law enforcement with Korea to help the relationship between the two countries develop smoothly.”

Meanwhile, Cho Nam-kwan (조남관), Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, and Lee Jeong-soo (이정수), head of the Planning and Coordination Department, were present at the meeting.
