“Friends, Please Let this Horrendous Situation of Cha Myong-jin be Widely Known”

FB Friends, everybody, I’m starting to post on Facebook again.

Having lost my home when I was ordered to pay ₩120,000,000 for compensation to Jeongyojo (전교조, Korean Teachers and Education Workers’ Union or KTU for short) for Jeongyojo member list disclosure, I hoped that the Sewol Ferry (group) side would at least not wield the painful weapon of civil litigation. With such an innocent heart, I have laid low and completely ceased speaking out on political matters on broadcast television, YouTube, Facebook, etc.

But today, a complaint came from the court.A lawsuit has been filed by 137 people, demanding I pay ₩3,000,000 ($2,540) to each person for a total of ₩410,000,000 ($347,000), with an interest of 15% a year.

To me, this moment is hell.

In the intense fray of leftist media,
I’ve been cut off from all broadcast television,
I was slapped with criminal law suits,
I was kicked out of my party (Liberty Korea Party), where I devoted 30 years of my life,
and I even received a lawsuit to pay ₩410,000,000 ($347,000)–an enormous amount that I’ll never be able to save up, let alone pay!

So I decided.

“I have nothing to lose. No one cares, even if I acquiesce!

Even the person I tried to protect threw me to the enemies, so what more is there?”

Even if it leads to my death, I’ll at least squeak.

I will say what must be said.

PS) Left-wing reporters will never report that Sewol Ferry groups are suing me for ₩410,000,000 ($347,000). They do not want to give the impression that those who they put on a pedestal are so money-hungry that they are suing Cha Myong-jin, who is unemployed and doesn’t even own a house, for an astronomical sum.

Facebook friends, please let this horrendous situation of Cha Myong-jin be widely known.

[Note: Sewol Ferry sank in 2014. Numerous people died, including high school students going on a school trip. This sad situation, however, has been used for political purposes. The Sewol Ferry sinking was blamed on president Park Geun-hye, and two years later, false rumors about her “missing 7 hours” during the ferry sinking were widely reported in the media–that she was having sex for 7 hours, that she was having a shaman ritual, that she was getting botox, etc.–creating a negative impression of her that made a major contribution to her impeachment. It was one of numerous charges the National Assembly’s Motion to Impeach contained, with newspaper articles about it attached as supporting material. They all proved to be false. Unlike other families of accidents, the families of ferry passengers who died received generous compensation from the government. The groups that used the Sewol Ferry sinking for political purposes recruited some of the family members for various activities, including continuously setting up tents in Seoul Plaza without permission for years and attacking anyone who criticize that Sewol Ferry incident is being used for political purposes. Cha Myong-jin, former National Assemblyman, was one of those who criticized, and he is being attacked for expressing it. This is an example of how free speech is attacked in South Korea.]

저에게는 지금 이 순간이 지옥입니다.

좌파언론의 집중적인 뭇매에,

일체의 방송활동에서 짤리고,

형사소송 당하고,

30년 몸 담아온 당에서도 쫓겨나고,

급기야 살아 생전 갚기는커녕 만져보지도 못할 4억1천만원 손배소송까지!

그래서 결심했습니다.

“더 나빠질 것도 없다. 내가 머리 조아린다고 그 누구도 나를 동정하지 않는다!
