Former presdent Lee Myong-bak released from jail on 2019-3-6

A controversy arose over the massive personal attacks and condemnation toward judge Jung Joon-young (정준영) (52), the Seoul Supreme Court judge who freed former president Lee Myung-bak (78) on bail. [truncated]

Most of the comments [on the Left extremists website “Clien” (클리앙, https://clien.net)] were personal attacks on the judge. Some of the repulsive comments included “a typical mug of a ‘Panregi” (judge + garbage),” “I’ll tear his trap [mouth] apart and kill him,” and “Son of a X,” “go to hXXX.” [truncated]

[Note 1: After 349 days, Lee Myung-bak was released from jail on March 6, 2019 on ₩1 billion bail ($882,000).  He is under house arrest as he cannot leave his residence. He also cannot communicate with anyone other than his lawyer and family.]

[Note 2:  The numbers in the bracket are ages.  They are usually Korean ages, which are 1-2 years more than the American style of determining age.]
