  • In a place where people from both home and abroad are gathered, she yells out ‘husband’ instead of ‘president’
  • Netizens pour criticisms –  “(They’re) creating a scene even abroad” and “(She) doesn’t act like the president’s wife”

President Moon Jae-in has left on a 5 days/8 nights trip abroad starting [November] 27.   In the Czech Republic, the first stop [on this trip], a scene was created in which the First Lady Kim Jong-sook yelled “Where’s my husband?” while she searched for President Moon.

In the morning of 28th, President Moon toured St. Vitus Cathedral with the First Lady Kim prior to his meeting with the Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. After the visit, President Moon left the church first, and the First Lady Kim, who had not noticed it, suddenly ran out of the cathedral yelling the above. [truncated]

Meanwhile, President Moon’s visit to the Czech Republic is causing concern from numerous confusions, including the absence of the president Miloš Zeman [the Czech President was visiting Israel], the [South Korean] Foreign Ministry’s mistake of calling the country by a wrong name [of referring to the Czech Republic with “Czecholslovakia” on its website], backtracking on “nuclear sales” as topic [initially said the purpose of the trip to the Czech Republic was to discuss South Korea’s nuclear power plant sale, then later said that was not the topic; the change came after South Koreans criticized Moon for strongly pursuing nuclear energy exit at home due to “safety” concerns after watching a movie, but trying to sell it abroad], and the cancellation of a meeting with locally-based Korean businessmen.
