The South Korean Coast Guard continued to discover and destroy gigantic trawl nets placed illegally by Chinese fishing vessels [in the waters near Jeju Island].

The Republic of Korea Coast Guard i Jeju is releasing the fish/shellfish caught in the illegally-placed Chinese trawl nets (provided by the ROK Coast Guard Agency in Jeju). 2020.4.10/News1

The fish and shellfish that the Coast Guard found amounted to 3,000 kg.  The illegal catches caught in the trawls were released into our seas. [Truncated]

The trawl nets were 300-500 m (984-1,640 ft) long, so they are huge, and the mesh is only 2 cm (0.79 inches), so the fish cannot slip through.

The trawls, after releasing the fish, weigh 5 tons [each]; the heavy weight prevents the collection of the nets, so they sink to the seabed.  [Truncated]

[Note:  The 63 Building is in Yoido, Seoul and it was the tallest building outside North America when it was built in1985. It has 63 floors and is 250 m (819 ft) high.]
